Simple Ways To Create Good Fengshui

Do you believe in Fengshui?

I absolutely do! :)

My interests in Fengshui started in my late teens when I would spend hours at the library reading any Fengshui books that I can find and jot down important notes for self-learning and personal reference.

In the recent years, I got to know a well-known local Fengshui Grand Master and from his teaching, guidance and advanced knowledge, I have a better understanding on the concept and the fundamental of Fengshui that could improve personal luck, home life, relationships, health, career and more...

In Singapore, many famous landmarks in the country, such as Gardens By The Bay, Merlion Park, Marina Bay Sands, Jewel Changi Airport and Fountain of Wealth at Suntec City are tourist attractions, these architectural buildings are designed with specific Fengshui placements that would bring peace, harmony, wealth and prosperity. Even banks, hotels and restaurants all over the world hire professional Fengshui practitioners to audit the interior and exterior of their properties to generate good business.

Many successful business tycoon like, Jack Ma, Li Ka-Shing and famous celebrities like Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, and Madonna believe the power of Fengshui can enhance business wealth, career opportunities, fame and success.

People often asked..."Can Fengshui make you rich?"

In my honest opinion, I don't think Fengshui can make everyone rich. If so, no one will be working today.lol. However, Fengshui can help to attract wealth, helpful people, opportunities that can improve your luck, business, career and financial gain etc. I believe you in hard work, perseverance and self-discipline is the key to success and victory, but a little booster of Fengshui doesn't harm either.:)

Here are 5 simple ways to create good Fengshui :

Tip 1 :
Keep the house clean, tidy and bright. Open the windows everyday and let the sunlight in. If the living room is dark, add more lighting to increase positive energy. Clear away clutters, remove all broken objects, rotten plants, damaged furniture and faulty electrical appliances. The front door and walkway should not be obstructed with any bulky items, keep the entrance neat and spacious to allow good energy to flow freely.

Tip 2 :
Do NOT keep any medication on the dining table. Taking medicines at the dining table leads to poor health and prolonged sickness. Keep all medication in the cabinet. Place only food items at the dining area.

Tip 3 :
Eating together as a family is a blessing. It builds stronger bonding, happiness, harmony that promote good energy in a household. A home filled with joy and laughter is good Fengshui.

Tip 4 :
Do NOT store anything under the bed. Avoid putting books, toys, old photos or junks underneath, this may cause mental stress, sleepless nights, arguments and poor concentration. Clear the bed area to improve sleep quality.

Tip 5 :
Everything around us, people, things and places have Yin and Yang energy.(Chi) Stay away from negativity. Don't participate in any gossips and nasty acts, as what goes around comes around, it's only a matter of time. Always practice kindness and gratitude. Embrace your moral values. Be filial to your parents, be kind to others, help the needy and spread positive vibes! Good karma attracts good fortune and blessings.

*Bonus Tip*
To increase wealth and money luck, use a long wallet/purse. Black or Brown is recommended.

I use a long purse, it contains my ID, cash, credit cards and driving licence. Do not keep receipts, clinic cards, discount coupons etc. (You can put them in a card case if you like) Change a new wallet if the old one is torn, dirty or discolored. A wallet is a storage of your personal wealth, so get a good one to preserve your finance and income.

Well, some people may feel that Fengshui is just some superstitious beliefs, but the ideology and the practice of Fengshui has a long history over more than 3000 years, since the ancient time till the modern world today.

Fengshui isn't just about placing exquisite lucky ornaments, water fountains, crystal balls and fortune cat etc.. Each direction, colors, numbers, 5 Elements, bazi, birth charts, represents different aspects in Fengshui analysis.

(*The Golden Luo Pan is a Fengshui Compass to determine and calculate the precise directions of the premises. Use for homes and office.)

Fengshui Facts :

Life isn't a smooth sailing journey, there will be challenges and setbacks along the way. Fengshui may improve your life, but keep in mind that it is NOT a magic tool and definitely not the antidotes to solve all the problems. Sometimes, we still have to experience some hard lessons to elevate our strength and wisdom to be a better person.

Nothing comes easy in life, we reap what we sow, without hard work and consistent efforts, there is no long-lasting results and rewards.

My principles of rule is, as long as it is not illegal and not hurting anyone, it's OK to practice what you believe and what makes you feel at ease.

Understand that the main objective of Fengshui is to create a good balance environment with positive energy (Chi) that encourage good fortune, happiness, success and prosperity that will improve your quality of life.

2023 is the year of the water Rabbit. I hope it will be better year for all. Here's wishing everyone a happy and a prosperous new year with great opportunities and abundance of blessings.

Have a fun Chinese New Year celebration and Gong Xi Fa Cai! 🧧🍊🍊

Have You Been Naughty Or Nice? 😈😇

As the bus drove by along Orchard Road...I glanced through the window looking at the busy streets filled with happy shoppers, beautiful lightings and fancy decorations...Yay! It's Christmas!!! My favorite time of the year...🎄🎅❤

Every December, I would make my New Year resolutions and do a quick recap on the whole year events.

How have 2018 been
for you? Have you been Naughty or Nice? Lol.😀

Honestly, I would say I've been a bit of both but mostly nice.😁 If you know me well enough, you know I'm always friendly, nice and warm to people who are genuine, kind and helpful. However, if anyone try to hurt or mess with my kids and family, I can be quite nasty that they can never imagine! So DON'T mess with the Mama Bear..Afterall, it's a maternal instinct for any mother to protect her children..Other than that, I'm as cool as a cucumber. LOL!

2018 has been another busy and eventful year for me..Mostly involving with my kids events, random contests, school life, some oversea trips, lots of fun parties/celebrations and gatherings with good friends.

I'm very proud of my son who achieved an Integrity Award from his school. He scored 95% for moral education as well.(Welldone, baby!) The form teachers feedback about his good conducts and school grades. My daughter will be starting Pre-school in Jan 2019. She is super excited about school life, she carries her new school bag everyday, walking around the house, packing the crayons and color pencils into her bag.😁

My online business is doing pretty well this year and I'm grateful for the 100% positive feedback from my regular and new customers. Thank you all so much for the support. I've won some prizes from random lucky draws and costume contests earlier, very thankful to Lady Luck for being so kind and generous to me in the recent months! 😍🙏

I also made a couple of new friends and interesting people early this year that inspired me on the perspective of life.👍

As I recalled some unhappy past events, I realized that family is STILL the Most important thing in the world.. No amount of money can ever buy family love, loyalty and unity.

Indeed..What is happiness when you are rich with no family and true friends around you? No thanks! I wouldn't want to be rich but lonely! My family will always be my top priority. Nothing can replace them! I will always love and protect my family. Period!

I've also learned to keep a distance from the black sheeps and the troublemakers who caused some dramas earlier! It is so true that life is more peaceful when you stay away from negativeness and toxic people. I see a huge difference since...

Christmas is a season of giving, hope, joy and a wonderful time to spend with your family and love ones. I'm glad I've done my new year resolution and still have a little spare time to write a short blog today and do a shout-out here to all my readers, to wrap up 2018.

I hope 2019 bring more joy, laughters and blessings to everyone! Always treasure your family! Family bonding is very important if you want a happy home. Make time for them, organize family outings, have movie nights or do some sports together. Your work and money can wait! 😉

True happiness and wealth in life are things that money can't buy. You are truly rich and blessed when you have a family who stick together and always stand by you through good times and bad times. Keep in mind that a family who sticks together, stays together! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 💗

On this peaceful evening, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May the holiday season fill your home with joy, your heart with love and your life with laughter. Have a fun celebration! Don't be in Santa's naughty list, folks! Lol! Do
good and be kind always! 😘

For Love & Peace! ♥️✌️

The Pride Of Motherhood 👩💓

Motherhood.

If you're a Mum, you know the struggle is REAL and the journey of Motherhood isn't always a smooth-sailing ride... I overheard a conversation the other day and I'll share my personal thoughts on Motherhood.

I am sure we have seen and heard many debates on Working Mums (WM) vs Stay-At-Home Mums (SAHM) and the battle never seems to end...

Personally.. I think such debates are pointless and quite silly because at the end of the day, we did it for our kids and the family so what's the purpose of proving which group gets more credits, we aren't earning for brownies or rewards points, are we? lol 😁

In my opinion.. I feel that as mothers, we should help and support one another instead of attacking, shaming and judging. If you are a working mum, it's cool to bring the bacon home, if you are a stay at home mum, that's wonderful to witness every precious milestone of your child each day.

My point is...Respect the roles of both group of Mothers. I have many friends who are working mums and I love them like sisters and as a stay/work at home mum myself, we face many challenges too and not every SAHM live a Tai-Tai (aka rich lady) lifestyle...and yes! I do understand the work stress for working mums as well..My friends complained to me all the time about their work projects,  long hours, frequent meetings and the nasty office politics they deal with everyday but stay at home mums have tons of endless housework and they hardly have any me-time for themselves, they don't get paid for doing everything, they got ZERO welfare, they have to deal with the cruel criticism and unfair judgement from the public as well.

Indeed..Motherhood is a tough journey for both working mums and stay at home mums but it should NEVER be a competition or humiliation. I really think all mothers (SAHMs and WMs) deserve Equal credits, respect and recognitions in the society.

Just to share...years ago, a single lady in her 40s once asked me..."M, what do you do at home all day? Wow! honestly, I felt really pissed at that moment and I think that was kinda' rude.. I wonder why did she even asked when she already knew what SAHM does! But yes..we don't go to work like the office lady and getting a paycheck every monthly but we are not sitting all day, munching chips and catching Korean dramas.Lol! We are equally busy taking care of the kids everyday, making sure that they are well & fed and running the daily errands.

It's really sad that people are so shallow and judgmental these days.
No offense and pardon me but I wonder how does she feel when someone asked why isn't she married at her age. Ahh.. there you see! Sensitive and tactless questions like this are totally uncalled for and it only tigger tensions and unhappiness so it's best to zip up especially when people can't relate to the situations.

Well..It's always easy to judge and make senseless remarks on others when they can't relate what Motherhood is all about and a mother's role in the family.. Say for example, if someone who can't cook or doesn't clean up the house, how can they truly understand and relate to the exhaustion from fixing meals for the family and doing the housework everyday?..What about pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding? Hey, not even a dad can relate that..just saying, Lol! So it really does take a mother to understand a mother! Period.

I hate to judge without knowing the truth, but that's me! Besides, it's really none of anyone's business whatever the decisions the mothers made for the family. Every household has different needs and demands. There is no standard formula in motherhood so why is there a need to compare who is better?

Here's a cool video that every mothers / parents should watch. Perhaps many have seen it before and I think it's one of the best motherhood advertisement that I have seen so far that speak a thousand words with a positive punch!👍

Motherhood is messy, crazy, tiring, stressful, exciting, rewarding and this list go on.. The last thing any mother need is someone making hurtful remarks to belittle and attack them.

The next time you ask such questions..think about how others feel and how YOU feel when someone ask you a sensitive question back, if words that may sound hurtful and unkind..Don't do it! because those words that are spoken can never be erased! It's never cool to go around insulting and mocking mothers or anyone so it's wise to think before you speak. Learn to speak with respect, kindness and intelligence, that way you'll make a friend instead of an enemy.

I have the highest respect for many strong mothers that I've met, both working mums and stay at home mums. At the end of the day, we all play the SAME role of a mother. Please do not feel worthless just because you don't bring money home for the family and don't feel guilty for working during the weekends. You Are Still A Good Mum, Remember that!😎

Whatever the choice is..be proud of your role as a mother. Keep in mind that we do NOT have to live in the opinions of others.
While the battle will still continue I'm sure, but allow me to speak with the pride of a mother. Thank you.😘

*Remark : This blog is specially dedicated to all the amazing mothers / Mommy Warriors for their hard work and sacrifices for the family. Love you Mums! 💕

Be A Buddy, NOT A Bully! 💪

Bullies...

I often wonder..why do people bully? was it for fun? trying to be cool? or simply just being a jerk! 😠

Anyway, I'm sure many of you have at least encountered a bully at some point in life or know someone who was bullied.. Unfortunately, bullies are everywhere..In schools, office, on the road, internet, public places and even in families sadly...

I recently witnessed a bully case in school that triggered me to blog this topic. Indeed, bullying is a huge social problem globally and it is a major concern for any parents.

Just a brief flashback...I was a bullied teen during high school. Being chubby and nerdy, the bullies in my class would picked on me all the time... Playing pranks on me, making fun of me with nasty name-callings. Whatever!..School wasn't a fun place for me, I hated school! I dragged myself to school everyday, I was an average grade student with good conduct but deep inside...I was counting down to graduation day. I'm so thankful that I survived those nightmares when I'm finally done with school, I was 'freed' at last and I could breathe freely again...

Now I am a mother of 2 young kids..I wouldn't want my kids to suffer the horrible experiences I had in school..No one deserve to be bullied! I wished someone taught me some self-defense so I could protect myself when the bullies attacked me. So...I encourage my son to learn Taekwondo, he is almost 7yo and has earned a Green belt.👍😊

Sometimes, I regretted being too timid because I was so afraid to challenge the bullies to defend myself and report them. I would just tolerate but feel miserable inside. I felt weak and so little about myself. That is one tough lesson I've learned in life, so Never put up with any bullying, seek help early and talk to someone about your problems. You don't have to suffer this alone in silence.

Do remember.. Silence isn't always golden. When you need to step up, speak up and defend yourself..Do It! Be brave enough to tell the bullies to Stop and Back off! Hiding your fear, your sadness and crying won't ever solve any problem! In fact, that would feed the bullies' ego and encouraged them to continue the bullying. When I read news about children / teenagers who committed suicide, it breaks my heart when young lives are lost in the result of prolonged abuses & bullying.😟

When I started working and learning about life as I grow..I became tougher, smarter, and I am grateful for my mentors who guided me along the way. I learn how to protect myself during danger, crisis and tacky situations, etc.. Through many life experiences and setbacks over the years, from zero to hero.. I am a stronger and wiser person today! A lady with confidence, strength and positive vibes.😊 Today, I am NO longer the nerd I was back in school. I remember no one ever noticed me during school days, I was invisible! Hmmm.. But now, I got attention from the public, strangers and I made heads turned..Hahaa! Many of my classmates couldn't recognise me when we met during our school gathering recently...There you go! The story of "The Ugly Duckling" does exist in real life and I am one good living example.😘

Here's a cool song by one of my favorite Singer, G.E.M. Love this song so much and the MV too..I can relate to the song and it's perfect for my blog! Check it out.. It's pretty awesome! Enjoy.. 😍😎

Click here ➡️Song lyrics in English #SayNoToBullying

Studies have shown that bullies are loners, insecure, self-centered and attention seekers who are unhappy about life and themselves..Many came from violence, broken families and grew up from bad childhoods.

Whatever the reasons may be.. Any form of bullying is still Wrong! It Is Never Cool To Bully! I've always tell my children..it is ok to be angry at times, but it is NOT ok to bully or hurt someone! There is no sensible or justified reasons to bully anyone! Young or old. Period!

As parents, it is our duty and responsibility to educate our children proper manners, moral values, self-discipline and respect. We should be role models and practise good examples for the kids to learn from. No parents would ever want to see their kids get hurt or being bullied anywhere, so we must teach our children some basic self-defense so they learn to protect themselves when there is danger because anyone could be a target for the bullies!

A physical scar may faded over time but an emotional scar will never be healed completely. Thus, it is hard to fix something that is badly damaged.

Prevention is always better than cure!

Let's remind ourselves and teach our children to practice kindness, compassion and treat everyone with respect always. Share and Pass it on... #SayNoToBullying

The Cyber Generation 🌎

Last week, I attended an interesting workshop on Cyber Wellness and met Mr Jim Lim, the speaker for the workshop. Personally, I think it is one of the best workshop that I have attended in the recent years.

Jim is a friendly, humorous and intellectual speaker and his workshop is helpful, informative and engaging. I promise you won't doze off in his 4hrs+ workshop. I now have a better idea to guide my children as they grow into their teens and adulthood in years to come.

We are in the Cyber Generation and Internet is part of our life..Hence, the trend, the temptations and the contents from the net influenced the mind and the overall well-being of the child when they are exposed to the Internet everyday. It is important for parents to be involved and bond with our children to help them understand about Internet safety and their curiosity as they grow.

I am amazed and inspired by his speech in this workshop. Jim who is also an experienced social worker have met many people / families from different walks of life, he shared many real life stories and his perspectives on Parenting.

We all know that Parenting is not an easy journey because there is No fixed or right formula. There will be tears, heartaches, anxiety but alot of joy along the way and from time to time, we need to experience many trial-and-error to understand what works the best for our children because every child is different and unique in their own ways.

As a parent myself and a mother of two, I am a protective and a strict Mom. However, unlike the majority, I am not one who focus too much on academic and good grades, because I believe life isn't only about having good grades.

As much as I want my children to have a bright future and be successful in life but I wouldn't want my children to be top scholars but failed in morality, humanity and social skills/EQ. I want my kids to experience their life journey and to overcome the different challenges ahead and if they fall, I want them to learn to get back on their feet and keep moving forward but a stronger and wiser person each time they fall.

With all due respect, I strongly agree that good and proper education is very important for our generation and the human race. Knowledge Is Power! Without a strong educational foundation and support, there wouldn't be doctors, scientists and lawyers today!

Well..I'm not a big fan of books but if I will spent 12 bucks to get this book and to blog about it, it's definitely a great book that I would recommend to my friends and other parents, especially those who have an open and flexible mentality on Parenting.

The world is a crazy and hazard place, with shocking news everyday. Power, Violence, Fame, Fear, Greed, Lust and the list go on..Though we can't stop all the negativeness around the world but we can educate and guide our younger generation into the right path to shape our world a better place.🌎

Life is an exciting journey and Parenting is our responsibility! Teach our young the right and humane way of life, to build a better future for mankind.

For love, compassion and peace!❤

A Beautiful Day - Spread Love & Kindness! 💓

 I made someone happy today !!! :))))

There is this old uncle who sell fruits at our market, he always give me extra fruits and charge me cheaper. I really appreciate his kindness and generosity so I bought him Kopi siew-dai (not so sweet, in case he can't take too much sugar) on my way to school to fetch my son. He was alittle surprised but very happy to accept the coffee and he thank me countless times. Hence, it takes so little to make someone happy, the smile on his face is priceless and it makes me feel happy too! :)

An auntie who was at his stall walked up to me and said, "You are very kind, girl.. God bless you." I smiled and wish her a good day. Wow! I think I will be eating more fruits from now onwards.Lol!

Kindness is a 2-way traffic, when you are nice to people, others will be nice to you. It's that simple! :)

That is how I teach my children..There is so much we can do to spread love & kindness anytime, anyday and many ways. It always makes me feel good when I spread alittle kindness.:)

Have a wonderful day folks..Cheerio! ;)
