💡Effective Ways To Stay Motivated

The past 2 years have been a bumpy ride for humanity and the pandemic has put an invasive test on mental health and resilience.

"So how do we stay motivated with the uncertainty and new challenges ahead?"

I get asked this question recently...I was invited to a few private zoom meetings/interviews and discussions by corporate organisations, to share some insightful thoughts on Parenting, Family Life, Mental Wellness, Education and Self-Improvement etc.. I am honored to share my humble advice on my blog and hope these information could evaluate new ideas and broaden the perspectives on self-motivation.

Well, it is never easy to stay motivated every day, we all experience some struggles and stress in our daily life, therefore, it's important to practice self-discipline to control your emotions, thoughts and actions. Mastering self-motivation is a powerful skill that can help you manage your mental well-being, tackle the challenges and overcome obstacles.

The truth is, no one is born strong..It take years of experience, lessons, mistakes, adversity to build up strength, courage and wisdom. Every setback is an opportunity to learn and grow.

For instance, I would never imagine myself giving motivation advice/speech and conduct music classes. I remember I used to be that shy and introvert girl back in school, but people do change over the years...I am proud of the transformation and the dynamic breakthrough for my achievements with the knowledge and the ability to inspire others.

As a parent and a music mentor, I have to motivate my children and students. I strongly believe in diligence, determination, perseverance and a positive attitude.👍

Personally, I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I will not accept defeated without trying and putting the best efforts, but that's just me! 😎 No matter what you do and whatever dreams/goals you pursue, without motivation, no one can progress or achieve anything.

Here are my candid advice and thoughts to stay motivated, it has redirect me to stay on track whenever I am stuck in an impassive stage.

Tips To Stay Motivated :

1. Believe In Yourself (Be Your Own Hero!)
You probably see this quote everywhere in many motivational books and yes! it is indeed the vital aspect to success. Believing in yourself is knowing your worth, your strength and your power to change your life for better. Chase your dreams! Live life with a passion and purpose!

Don't rely on anyone to support or save you (sometimes you may never get any help). People come and go, not everyone will be there for you and stick around! Be your own hero, you are in charge of your life, learn to pull yourself up and push yourself forward. Trust and believe that you are capable to achieve great things. You become what you believe!

2. Invest In Yourself.(Knowledge Is Power!)
Never stop learning. You are never too old to learn more. It's all about the right attitude and the desire to improve. Be open to new ideas and explore new things. A great way for self-improvement is to read more books. Information feed intelligence and the best thing about knowledge is no one can take away from you. Knowledge & skills open the door to new opportunities, achievements, success and wealth. "The More You Learn, The More You Earn!"

3. Compliment Yourself.(Self-Worth)
Start each day with positive self-talk. Don't wait for someone to praise your hair, your outfit, your style...You can't please the world and you don't need validations from anyone. Celebrate small victory, achievements and reward yourself! This will boost your self-confidence and help you stay focused on your goals.

4. Associate With Successful People. (Listen To The Right Advice)
We meet different people in life, some people will inspire you and some will drain you. Be selective and choose your circle wisely. Unfortunately, not everyone offer sensible advice and conducive solutions.

You need to analyse your own situations and do what works the best for you, because at the end of the day, you are the one who will face the challenges and deal with the consequences for your decisions.

So be careful with random advice from temporary people. Time is precious, a wrong decision will delay the transition of success and the risk of wasted effort with no promising outcomes. Bad advice are destructive that can cause self-doubts, confusions and pessimism.

Stay away from negative and toxic people. A bad attitude will never produce positive results. Surround yourself with like-minded people with positive energy, realistic goals and visions. A good mentor will encourage you to explore your full potentials and guide you to success!

5. Don't Give Up (Keep Trying)
Failure is part of life. All successful people experience some hiccups at some point. Don't feel discouraged if you haven't reach your goals yet. Take a break if you are tired, but don't quit! Remember, you can always Restart, Rebuild and Re-adjust. Be patient but consistent, success isn't an overnight process and great things take time. Nothing is over if you don't give up!

"Even if you are not ready for the day, it cannot always be night..."

As we countdown to the new year...Set new goals, make a resolution to cultivate a strong and positive mentality. Embrace your strength and empower self-motivation to achieve your dreams & aspirations!

Christmas is just around the corner and I love Christmas time! It's a joyful season of giving and sharing! So here's wishing everyone a magical, blissful holiday season and a happy, prosperous 2022! Have fun and stay safe! 😉

I hope you learn something useful today and if you do, pass it on...

10 Things Not To Post On Social Media⚠️

Social media is a virtual community network that provides great source of information, latest news, trends, entertainments and more...It is a resourceful marketing tool to promote businesses/brands, awareness and connect the world! However, it can be a dangerous place when the contents you share may lead to some nasty situations.

Bloggers like myself, content creators, influencers and online business owners are active on social media, our contents are shared publicly for better engagement and exposure to our audience, that's the nature of the industry. Hence, it can be quite challenging if you are unsure what contents are safe and what might cause red flag.🚩

My 3 golden rules are, be mindful, respectful and tactful.

Here are my personal tips and advice on 10 Things Not To Post On Social Media.
(*This is solely my personal thoughts and opinions.*)

1. Personal Data
I'm sure most people will not share their personal information but at times, you may overlook the finest details on some pictures that may reveal your home address, ID, car plate and mobile numbers, these information can fall into wrong hands, so remember to check carefully before you post anything online.

2. Family/Children Pictures
Call me a protective mom, (I admit I am, lol!😄) Ah yes..I'm kinda' discreet and I value privacy. For me, I do not share my family/children photos on my social media publicly for safety reasons. I love my 2 sweethearts and take lots of lovely photos/videos with them, but I prefer to share my private collections with family/relatives, closest friends and selective group chats in a private setting. Anyway, you don't need to share everything about your life and you don't have to post it to prove it! It's perfectly fine to stay low key if you wish. You never know who is spying, checking your profiles and saving your photos.

3. Sensitive Topics
Personally, I would avoid posting/blogging anything related to Religions, Races and Politicians on social media. These topics are highly sensitive that may trigger unnecessary tensions and provoking debates, so it's wise to stay away at all costs and don't get yourself into trouble! (Nuffsaid!)

4. Adults Contents (18+)
Every social media channels forbid nudity, violence and obscene contents. Indecent posts will be removed, flagged and banned for violating the community guidelines. Avoid sharing such contents that may go viral and could expose to minors.

5. Hateful & Offensive Comments
Everyone has different ideas, perspectives and beliefs. I think it's important to respect everyone equally. Perhaps you might think it's just a joke or a harmless remark, but be mindful that not everyone feel the same.

Acknowledge everyone's emotions and treat people the way you like to be treated! We can always agree to disagree or settle the disputes in private but NEVER condone to cyber-bulling, trolling and keyboard warriors. No One Is Perfect! There is nothing cool about bullying, shaming, defamation and being passive aggressive. No one ever look good, making someone look bad!

6. Fake News
Everyone makes mistakes. I'm sure many of us are eager to share the latest news with our family and friends but before you hit the send/forward button, make sure the information are updated from reliable sources before you share it on public platforms. You don't want to cause false alarm and anxiety.

7. Personal Stories/Events
Do NOT share your break-up stories, family problems, relationships, financial or work issues etc. I hate to say this hunny...but the truth is, very few people actually care, some are just curious and the vast majority can't be bothered! Instead of seeking comfort and support, some may be judging, mocking and gossiping about you. Don't invite negativity and protect your energy!

Some things are best to stay private, behind closed doors. Do NOT Overshare! Your problems need real solutions NOT attention! Talk to a trusted friend instead and refrain from sharing too much personal narratives on social media. A private life is a happy life! 🙂

8. Sharing Without Consent
Some documents are strictly private and confidential regardless corporates or individual, it could be personal emails, invoices, legal contracts and proposals that should never be shared with a third party or anyone. In my opinion, this is basic courtesy and integrity. Even if you are not in contact with the person/company/organisations anymore, the documents should still remain Private & Confidential. If you like a private article or specific photos, request for permission to repost on your page/website. Be professional and respectful.

9. Spamming Links
Spams are annoying and hard-selling strategies can be quite turn-off for many. It may project desperation and a poor image. Don't keep tagging popular, big accounts to promote your business unless they are aware and there is a mutual agreement/collaboration to support your product campaigns and business ventures.

10. Moderate Postings
Limit selfies, lavishing lifestyle photos and don't over post your achievements. Some people might feel envious or intimidated... Unfortunately, not everyone will clap for your success! In my personal experience, your daily online activities may unintentionally 'attract' stalkers, haters and flooded DMs.(Always!) It is common for bigger accounts to get hacked, compromised or become victims of phishing. Network does breakdown and internet security systems can fail too. Be Warned!

Don't be overly stressed about getting likes, followers, fame and popularity. I totally understand being competitive but Remember, your REAL Social Life is more important than your Social Media.

Bonus Tips :
Keep your posts fun, positive, interesting and entertaining. Have some self-discipline on the contents you post and set the amount of time you spend online.

Social media addiction can affect greatly on mental health, self-esteem and daily routines. Remember to take a short break and detach from social media if you need to. Don't forget to enjoy some me-time, self-care and spend quality time with your family. Never let social media steal your time or take over your life!

Occasionally, you can do some social media detox, to keep a safe and healthy network.

Whatever you wish to post on social media, make sure you feel good and comfortable sharing the contents. Be authentic & creative!👍

Share constructive, useful contents to inspire, motivate and encourage others. The world has enough crisis and critics, we need more compassion, peace and justice! Be kind to one another..."Spread Love, NOT Hate!"

Social media is an essential technology in our modern lifestyle, it's wonderful to get information the fastest way and stay connected with friends & family around the world but keep it safe always.

Peace & love! 😎✌

🎬 K-Drama Review - Squid Game (2021)

Annyeong haseyo!...
I hope everyone is well and safe.

I know the past weeks were rough and it's been really demoralizing on the current outbreak situation, but let's try to stay strong and be optimistic that things will get better! Meanwhile, take a break and get off the news if you need to...

Well, staying at home can be productive too..if you have a well-organised daily routine to keep yourself occupied with indoor activities and entertainment. Someday, you need to slow down, relax and just chill! 😎

Squid Game - Watch it on Netflix!

Personally, I don't watch much Korean Drama series. As a busy Work-at-Home Mom, I can't sit for hours watching Netflix, but somehow the giant robot doll in Squid Game caught my attention..it brings back some childhood memories and I remember playing similar games when I was little...

“무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다”(mugunghwa kkochi  piotsseumnida)

For the longest time, I can't believe I actually watched all the episodes of Squid Game. I enjoyed the show, but some uncensored violent scenes were quite brutal and too graphic for younger viewers in my opinion, so Parental Guidance (PG) Is Advised⚠️

Despite the overwhelming scenes, the Squid Game reflects reality and there are some highlights that we can learn. I believe many have watched all the 9 episodes by now, but pardon me for those who haven't, I'll keep it brief! (Don't shoot me!😄)

Lessons Learnt From Squid Game (*Spoiler Alert⚠️)

Humanity
In the world filled with greed and temptations, it's insane what people will do for money. Perhaps, money is the root of evil?...You decide! I would suggest to stay away from any form of gambling, always have a strong financial reserve. Spend your money wisely and be debt-free!👍

🔺️Betrayal
The hard truth is, we can't always trust people! In life, there will be fake friends and dirty players who cheat to win. Unfortunately, some people does take advantage of kindness and generosity. Poor Ali (Player 199) was too pure for the game and trusted too easily. Damn, it hurts to be betrayed! So the moral of the story is - Trust No One! (Even salt look like sugar, remember that!)

🟥
Teamwork
The Tug of War Game remind us that no matter how big and strong your opponents are, the 'weaker' team can still win the challenge with the right technique, strategy and teamwork!

⭕ Friendship
I value and treasure genuine friendships! I Iove the part when Gi-Hun (Player 456) offered to team up with the elderly man II-nam (Player 001) for the marble game, it was a sweet gesture and there was a scene where he used his sweater to cover up for II-nam. Awww..friends for life! (Fist bump!🤜🤛)

🔺️Sacrifice
When Ji Yeong (Player 240) deliberately lost the marble game and her final words to Sae-byeok (Player 067). Gosh..I literally teared up, the scene really broke me! I had to pause as I couldn't digest that heartbreaking moment.💔 (Someone please pass me some Kleenex! 😢)

Sae-byeok is my favorite character in the show, she is cool, brave and one tough cookie! I love her strong and righteous personality. In most movies, I have a soft spot for the Heroes but never the villains! (Duh!) I guess I appreciate kind people more, in movies and in reality as well.

My favorite scene got to be the Honeycomb Game, the candy cutting looks really fun, so I tried making some that day...(Phew, I'm safe!)

All you need is 2 ingredients, Sugar and Baking Soda, but lots of patience to make a nicely-done Honeycomb Candy! I swear it's not as easy as it looks, but definitely a fun bonding with the little ones! Look at that, how cute! No wonder it's a global trend now.

In conclusion, the show is thrilling and intriguing! A great story structure and authenticity. I would rate 4.5/5 stars! Yeah, it's been a while since I watched such a sensational drama series that inspired me to share a heartfelt review on my blog. Nice work, Mr Director! (Hwang Dong-hyuk), you got a fan here, I can't wait for Season 2!😊

Keep Calm and Watch Netflix! Enjoy a great movie date with your loved ones! Ohh! don't forget the Chips and Popcorn too! 😋🍿🖥
