Advice On Getting Tattoos / Body Art ๐Ÿ˜Ž

So the other day, my girlfriends were discussing about getting a tattoo and they approached me for some advise since I've got 2 tattoos (Only) LOL! ๐Ÿ˜ Anyway I thought...why not share my personal experience and some advise about tattoos on my blog.๐Ÿ˜˜

Though I usually blog about Parenting, Family, Life, Humanity etc..but occasionally, I do blog on interesting random lifestyle topics if I feel that the contents would benefit the readers who follow my blogs. Well, that's what Blogging is all about, at least in my view! ๐Ÿ˜†

I appreciate beautiful tattoos work & body art. Personally, I love Spiritual and Mystical tattoo designs because I feel a strong connection within. I've got a Guardian Angel holding a baby tattooed on my upper arm and a small Lotus flower symbol on my wrist. Both tattoos hold special meanings related to some past memories and they also serve as positive reminders to myself when I face different challenges in life. Anyways, if you google Guardian Angels or Lotus symbols, you will find a lot of information and their meanings for all the different tattoo designs...Nuffsaid! ๐Ÿ˜

Here are some advise & tips (*Based on my personal experience) if you are getting a tattoo.๐Ÿ˜‰

*Advice /  Tips On Getting A Tattoo :

#1. Always get an experienced, reliable and a certified tattoo artist to do the job.

#2. Do NOT rush to get a tattoo. Don't go for the trend! Get the tattoo design that you truly love or feel connected with. Your tattoo should be something special and meaningful to you that you are proud to show them and won't ever regret getting inked.

#3. Do NOT get a tattoo if you feel unwell, emotional, tired, drunk or after a break-up because *Tattoos Are Permanent! Only get inked when your mind is crystal clear because you don't want to spend thousands of dollars for tattoo removal laser treatment years down the road.

#4. Discuss with your tattoo artist about the design you want.(*Size of the tattoo/colors & placement, etc) Don't be shy to ask questions if you need any information. Be clear and understand what you truly want. If you don't feel comfortable with the artist. Don't do it! Keep looking around and always remember to check out their reviews and artworks profile, background, etc..

#5. Tattoos are painful. Do expect some degree of pain but it isn't as bad as you imagine because once the skin is numb after a while, the pain is bearable for *most* people. Keep in mind that everyone have different pain tolerance. There is no need to play hero, you can always take a short break if you need a rest when the pain is too overwhelming and continue later when you feel much better.

#6. Try to relax your mind and body. Don't keep staring at the needles/tools or focus on the buzzing sound and pain. Look away if you are afraid to watch the process but remember to breathe normally and fear not!..the pain isn't permanent.๐Ÿ˜„

#7. Fix a day just for your tattoo appointment so you don't have to rush the artist for your next appointments, meetings or dates etc..

#8. Always follow the aftercare instructions when the tattoo is done, because you want your tattoo will heal nicely and look great on your body.๐Ÿ˜˜

I got both my tattoos done at Alive Tattoo Studio, located at Lucky Chinatown, Singapore.

I recommend this place because Alecs is an experienced tattoo artist and he is very friendly, patient and humble. He's got a good attitude and he listen to what the customers want and offer sensible ideas & suggestions.๐Ÿ‘

Alecs is serious and careful with his work. He is very creative with customized tattoo designs as well. I'm very happy with the Guardian Angel tattoo that he designed for me when I got my first ink many years ago...He is very professional and their rates are reasonable too.

Therefore, I strongly recommend *Alive Tattoo Studio* to my friends and anyone who intend to get a tattoo. If I ever get another tattoo, I will definitely look for Alecs again.๐Ÿ˜Ž

I Wrote My Songs ๐ŸŽผ

I feel very honored to be invited to a launch party last evening. It was a private event, strictly by invitation so I brought my sister along since we both love Chinese Pop Music.๐Ÿ˜˜

Last year, I took part in a Song Writing Contest organized by SGSW [ๆˆ‘ๅ†™ๆˆ‘็š„ๆญŒ 2017] I'm happy to contribute my work and be part of this music event. For the record, over 450 songs (including my songs) were submitted last year and only 1 winner for this contest. I finally met the winner in person when he sang his song with his keyboard on stage last evening...

It was a touching, sad love song [่ฏทไฝ ่ฎฐๅพ—ๆˆ‘] and I like it! ๐Ÿ˜ Personally, if any songs that connect your emotions, touches your heart..a song that can make you cry, laugh and the lyrics stay in your head...That's a good song/music in my opinion.๐Ÿ˜Ž

It was a nice outdoor party held at the Roof Garden of Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC). We enjoyed great live music performance and the beautiful evening sceneries around, food and drinks were provided as well..What an awesome party! ๐Ÿ‘

Music is my passion! I love writing my songs, playing my guitar, ukulele and drums. I shall submit my new song when it's completed.๐Ÿ˜‰

I hope more people will support our local talents and musicians. Who knows there could be many more local talents like JJLin and Stefanie Sun for the Chinese music industry.

Winning the contest is secondary to me..I just wanna' write my songs, let music be my voice and let my songs be heard...Anyway, win or lose, it doesn't really matter, because in the end, I still gain another experience...Well, at least the panel of judges have heard my songs,lol..so, may the best man/song wins!๐Ÿ˜‰

Till then, I'll update my new blog soon, do stick around folks..Cheers! ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿฅ‚
