From Journey to Joy: Our Home Relocation Update🏡

                   

It's Been A Long Time Coming…

 
Dear family and friends,
 
Finallyyy! I am delighted to share some wonderful news. My family and I have officially moved in and settled comfortably into our new residence. This home upgrade gives us more space, greater comfort, and a lovely fresh start, a meaningful new chapter we welcome with deep appreciation and excitement.
 
The journey to get here was not easy. We faced many challenges, obstacles and long delays due to various situations and unforeseen circumstances, but through patience and perseverance, we finally made it! All the effort feels completely worthwhile now that we are settled in this wonderful new home, ready to create beautiful memories and embrace new chapters.

And what feels even better? Our new house and renovations are fully paid. No housing loan, no outstanding payments, no debts, and no monthly repayments to worry about. (*We prefer to settle everything once and for all.) It brings us such peace of mind and a true sense of financial stability, knowing we achieved this goal entirely on our own. 

Property and housing is pretty expensive here but through steady hard work, careful planning and investing wisely, we have reached where we are today. This is a milestone we built over years and we hold it deeply with humble gratitude. 

               

                 

If you know me well, you will know that I prefer not to trouble others, so we managed everything completely by ourselves, without seeking any help or support from our families or friends. Honestly, that is also something I am truly proud of and it's indeed the most rewarding outcome after years of efforts, sacrifices, and long waiting. Buying a new house is one of the best decision I've ever made! 😎

Our children are absolutely thrilled! They love their new bedrooms. The neighborhood is warm, friendly, and full of vibrant energy. Such a joyful place for our whole family to grow and thrive! It feels so much more relaxing and peaceful here...I have already made new friends and feel genuinely welcomed and connected. I truly believe a positive, healthy environment nurtures both growth and well-being.
 
A massive shout-out goes to our amazing and hardworking property agent, Mr D. (You know who you are!😉) Our previous house was sold within 2 months. Thank you so much for securing such a great offer and closing the deal quickly and efficiently. Your professionalism and excellent service truly deserve recognition and appreciation.
 
Our renovation went smoothly and stress-free, we are endlessly thankful that every part of the work was completed right on schedule.

 

Keep Rolling - Heng, Ong, Huat! 🍍🍍🍍

To welcome peace and blessings to our new home, we followed tradition and rolled the pineapple as part of our simple door-opening ritual before renovation. It was quite fun and rather hilarious. We found ourselves giggling and laughing as we rolled the pineapple through every room! 😄

Some of my friends have been asking and wondering if we’ve moved yet, so I think it’s time to share some updates about my relocation and why I have been so busy. Moving house is incredibly time-consuming. The transition takes so much dedication, hard work, supervision, and coordination, from housing paperwork to packing, moving and renovations, etc. The past few months were extremely busy and exhausting, but also joyful and fulfilling as we decorated and furnished our new home. (*More photos & videos will be shared in private group chats later.)

(*P.S. — Pardon me if I missed some lovely events, parties, celebrations, and media invitations over the past few months. My schedule has been fully occupied with these tasks since early this year, but I look forward to connecting with everyone again soon! 😘

Best Birthday Celebration This Year! 🎂
 
We have officially relocated and settled into our new home in early June, just as planned. Since June is also my birthday month, this beautiful new home stands as one of my greatest blessings. It gave me one of the most special and best birthday celebrations this year. Truly unforgettable! 🎁

     

Dreams Do Come True! (Slowly but Surely)

Moving home is a long and tedious process, it’s a huge commitment that needs sensible planning, endless patience, great attention to detail, and so much persistence but...Great Things Are Worth Waiting For! 😎✌️ 

To everyone working towards their dream home : Never Give Up! 💪 We waited patiently for years, with very little help along the way, but we overcame every challenge and made it happen. Your dream home, joyful moments, and wonderful abundance are absolutely worth waiting and striving for.

And hey… please mark your calendars! I will be preparing and sending out exclusive private invitations very soon, along with some sweet little tokens for our guests, so please keep an eye out for yours! We seriously can’t wait to give our VIP guests a full house tour and celebrate a wonderful housewarming together! 🥳

Now that I have completed one of the biggest and toughest projects - Our home relocation, I can finally breathe easier, take things slower, and focus on other goals. I now have more time for my hobbies and enjoy simple leisure. I am settling into this sense of stability, enjoying every moment in my new home, and moving at my own gentle pace.

GRO Awards Presentation Ceremony 2024

                  

Time flies.

I never really count how many years I have been with the (GRO) grassroots organisation, but I am truly honoured to receive a 5Year Appreciation Award from our MP recently...

It marked another milestone and I'm grateful for the recognition for my contribution to our community. It feels amazing to receive an award on stage once again, but I do get a little shy at times.lol😅

The award presentation ceremony was fun and heart-warming. I had a great time chilling and catching up with many grassroot members. We played some interactive games, kahoot quizzes and took pictures together to capture this special occasion.

A warm shout out to all my fellow members in our RN committee, I'm thankful for their support, guidance and teamwork for all these years. 

Some of my senior members received lifelong 15Years and 20 Years awards in our RN committee. Wow, I extend my respect and admiration for their hard work, passion and commitments in their assignments and duties.

As December is a time I like to recap and reflect for the year. I must say it has been a fruitful and a rewarding year for me. My personal goals were achieved and I'm pleased with the tasks completed this year. 

Everyone Can Give!💗

Volunteering is something I do profusely and I enjoy what I do.🥰

Personally, I value kindness and empathy. I've always believed in giving back to the society and leading by examples.

Growing up as a child, I see people struggling everyday, so it makes me want to do more when I grow up and helping people makes me feel good. I love to see people's lives improve with every support and assistance they get.

Goals and Missions :

Everyone needs some help & support from time to time so any act of kindness is never wasted. Every contributions are recognised and valued.

Volunteers are much needed and important in every community, they are the givers, the ones who dedicate their personal time, efforts and obligation without any wages. We work together as a team to build strong connections, networks, social support, harmony and providing the needs to the community.

                   

To Support & To Serve :

I will continue to support and serve the community to my best ability. It has been a meaningful purpose and a fulfilling journey for me and I learned so much in the past 5 years as a grassroots leader.

My family is supportive and my kids are proud of the awards & achievements I received in community service.

Why I Love Being A Mom - The Joy Of Motherhood 💖

       

                          

*A Special Blog For Mother's Day*

Motherhood is an incredible journey filled with discovery, immeasurable love and a chain of complex emotions. From conception, pregnancy and childbirth, these special moments are truly remarkable and beyond words...

Well, Motherhood doesn't come easy for me, it was an intense and dramatic journey...but thankfully, I FINALLY conceived my first child naturally, when my reproductive system decided to cooperate and 'activate' lol..and my 2nd child is a SG50 Jubilee Baby. The day I became a mother, marks the glorious moment of my life and I'm truly grateful for the gift of Motherhood. My children are my Sunshine and Happiness!🌞❤️

Despite many challenges and the unglamorous part of Motherhood, there are many wonderful moments and here's why...I Love Being A Mom :

1. Stronger and Positive Personality 💖
Being a mother has made me a better and stronger person. I didn't know I could multi-task and overcome all the challenges along the way. Raising a child is never easy, it's a long process that requires tons of patience, hard work and sacrifices. Motherhood has tap into my feminine side to be more empathetic, nurturing and compassionate towards people around me.

 

     

 

2. Being Their First Teacher🎓
Watching my kids grow everyday and unlock new milestones is a fulfilling experience. It's a sense of satisfaction to share my knowledge and teach my children about life and humanity. I am glad to be part of their life to encourage and inspire them to explore their strengths and potentials.

3. Joy and Laughter😄

Children brings joy and laughter into the family, they create a warm and lively ambience. Life is much interesting and meaningful with children around the house. They color my world and complete my life!

4. Strength and Motivation 💪
Some days were crazy and overwhelmed, but whenever I see their sweet smiles and happy faces, all the stress and exhaustions just disappear!

 

My children give me strength, courage and motivation to tackle the challenges in life. No matter what the situation is, I Will Prevail and I Never Quit! I want to be an example for my children to build a strong and assertive attitude to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

5. Free Unlimited Cuddles and Kisses 💋
Being cuddled and kissed is one of the best feeling in the world! My heart is full when my kids give me the biggest hugs! Their warm cuddles and sweet kisses are the best remedies on those long, hectic days.

              

6. Sweet and Cute Surprises 💝

I love children. I can't help it when they are so adorable, their innocent expressions, giggles and body movements are way too cute! I still remember my son love singing and doing the Barney dance when he was a toddler, it still makes me smile when I watched the old video clips. Ahh.. my daughter made me some snacks with a note the other day...These sweet little surprises warms my heart and made my day!

   

                 

7. Family Bonding 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

I enjoy spending time with my kids doing random activities. We love playground trips, watching cartoons, kite-flying, snuggle times and eating ice-creams together...and when my children dozed off in my arms, it feels blissful and comforting. These are the moments I live for..Priceless!

8. My Junior Versions 👦👧

They say my kids have my eyes and smiles, like a "Mini Mandy"😄 Yeah, I see similar personality but best of all, they both love Music and Art, just like their Mommy! It must be my creative genes, Daddy is so 'jealous'..Haha!😆

9. Gratitude and Appreciation🥰
I never knew how challenging and demanding Motherhood is, until I became a mother. I could relate and fully understand why my mom is always so anxious and tired...

All her nags make sense to me now. I have so much gratitude, admiration, respect for her strength and everything she has done for the family. Thanks Momma! 

10. Duties and Responsibility 👸
Motherhood is messy and exhausting! There are sleepless nights, endless cleanings, meltdowns, tears, worries and heartaches. At times, my kids made me really mad, frustrated and emotional, but no matter how tired I am and how despair I feel...I will do my best, I have no regrets and I wouldn't trade anything for Motherhood, it's one of the best gifts in life!

I believe as a Mother, it's my duty, responsibility and a promise to my children that I will always be there to support, protect and love them. They can always count on Mommy!😊

Lessons I Learned From My Mom🌹

Mother's Day is a beautiful occasion to celebrate motherhood, maternal bonds and the contributions of mothers in our society. 

My mother has inspired me to be a better and stronger person today. Kind, loving and generous. She is one of the strongest and toughest woman I ever known. A woman full of strength and courage, she never back down and she is always positive about life in every situation. My mom is someone whom I look up to, an amazing woman I truly respect and admire...

In honor of Mother's Day, this is a blog to express my appreciation and gratitude for her hard work, sacrifices and the valuable life lessons my mom has taught me.

Important Life Lessons From Mom :

Family comes first

Always protect your family and love your children unconditionally. Nothing in the world is more important than family.

Learn to cook

My mom is a great cook! She believes, 
"A way to a man's heart is through his stomach...'' (Oh mom...😅) When I was little, she would asked me to help in the kitchen, chopping the onions, garlic, pounding the spices and I would watched her cook everyday. She believes home-cooked meals are the best and much healthier. With the culinary skills today, I enjoy cooking & baking because it's a joy to cook for the family.

Treat everyone the same

Never be arrogant. Whether they are cabbies or the CEOs, everyone deserves respect and to be treated equally.

Be kind and help others

Kindness is a virtue. My mom has a heart of gold. She would help the poor, the needy and the less fortunate. I do volunteer work because I believe in giving back to the society, to offer help and support to our community. The world need more empathy and compassion.

Have more patience

Well, I have to admit this is a tough one...I'm not the most patient person in the world, but I will try my best to work on it! 

Never give up

Like a warrior, my mom is a fighter, she taught me to be brave and strong, to keep trying and never give up hope no matter how hard the situation is! "Where there is life, there is hope..."

Keep some money aside

Save for a rainy day. Ah yes...a wise advice! Always keep some extra cash or a reserved fund, you never know when you need it!

Keep learning and exploring

As a child, my mom would encourage me to follow my passion, interests and to keep learning as much as possible. She never stop me from playing music or joining the singing contests, etc... Even when I didn't do much to make her proud, she never rain on my parade. She is always there to cheer for me and I thank her for believing in me.

Choose your friends wisely

It doesn't matter how big the circle of friends you have, it's the TRUE ones that matters!
Friends can influence your thoughts, actions and behaviors, so be careful who you surround yourself with. Mama is right! 

Live with integrity

My mom live a honest and humble life. She taught me the values of being true and upright, to speak with honesty and act with integrity. I raise my head high, each and every day...

Be thankful

Despite all the storms and difficult times, my mom doesn't complain. She is always grateful about life and counting the blessings...

Life doesn't come with a manual, it comes with a mother. I thank my mom for being there to support and guide me over the years... 

Sometimes, we may not share the same views, beliefs or have different ways of expressing ourselves, but in the end... All mothers have the best interests at heart for the children and the family.

...The combination of the purest love, kindness and patience can never be replaced...🌹
