Exclusive Dedication : Community Celebration for Kampong Spirit Day


Community events offer numerous benefits that strengthen social cohesion, enhance well-being, and providing entertainment & recreation for residents.

Whether it's a neighborhood block party, festive celebrations, or family carnivals...These events bring people together from diverse backgrounds, creating opportunities for interactions that strengthen the existing bonds and embrace the kampong spirit in the community.

As grassroots leaders, we mingle around the neighborhood, building strong community bonding and harmony. We encourage residents/families to come together to participate in activities, creating shared memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Our Music Journey...

Many of you know that I teach Ukulele in the community for years. Our music group, 'Ukermanics' was officially formed in 2019. 

Music has always been a passion for me since my school days. In the past, I have performed many times on stage as a singer, playing guitar/ukulele but this time, I decided to bring out the acoustic drums to add into our music performance at the recent community event...

   

A Dream Come True! :)

I enjoy playing with different instruments, but it's always been my dream to perform as a drummer. I love drums, it's a powerful and dynamic instrument. It creates a lively and impactful atmosphere that connect deeply with rhythm, emotion, and the heart of the music.

     


It's Show Time!🥁 


Music is a universal language that connects people. Music is fun and enjoyable for all ages. It doesn't matter what age you are, if you are interested to learn a new instrument, go for it and explore your potential! 😎

I would like to applaud my members for their performance as it takes a lot of courage and confidence to perform in public. I'm so proud of their hard work, efforts, good progression and we did our best to present a good show for everyone. 

We played a total of 5 songs and received positive feedback from the audience. My heart is full when I saw happy faces and warm cheers in the crowd. I'm glad the residents enjoyed the performance and it was a great honor to share my passion and contribute to this meaningful event!  

   

Every performance is a special moment for me and to perform for the residents is a privilege I treasure. I am most grateful to receive this certificate and thank you for the recognition!

Many times, we forgot to thank the people who create special memories in different chapters of our lives, so I take this opportunity to shout out to my beloved Ukermanics members and express my heartfelt appreciation :

[Highlights] Family Fest Carnival 2025 @Heartland


Family time at a carnival is pure magic! It's about the shared happiness, the thrill of fun rides, the lively atmosphere, the happy chaos and hanging out with dear friends and loved ones! Those are sweet memories that last a lifetime, strengthening our bonds and filling our hearts...

SG60 Family Fest @Heartland...

I love family outings and recently I had a wonderful time celebrating SG60 with the residents.

The family fest carnival was a whirlwind of cool activities, yummy treats, desserts, bouncy slides, car show, live fireworks, stage performance and more...





It was drizzling in early evening when we arrived, but it didn't stop the fun, we were chilling and having a good time at the carnival! The energy is vibrant and lots of great entertainments for everyone!

Personally, I love fast cars and I spent a good hour admiring, taking pictures and checking them out! 😎

The sleek lines and powerful engines of sports cars have always captivated me, and seeing them on display today was a real treat for automotive enthusiast like me!
The Pink Porsche and Green McLaren caught my attention! The striking colors, innovative designs, and sheer power were exhilarating. It's an amazing sight and I'm glad to be there!

Light Up The Sky!!! 🎆

The crowd gathered together waiting patiently as we count down for the fireworks!


                                                    
Watching the fireworks display live filled me with so much joy and excitement as we celebrate SG60 together in the community! The colors blasting against the night sky were so beautiful and breathtaking! Wherever the place is, I never get tired watching live fireworks! 😍

The SG60 Family Fest was totally awesome and it's been a fabulous evening with my family and favourite homies! My kids enjoyed the event and it warms my heart to see many happy faces and sweet families bonding together in an event.

It was truly another heart-warming and wholesome event! We left the carnival with full bellies, goodie bags and joyful hearts!

Family time is important and priceless! Every fun outing is a day well-spent! I love to capture beautiful moments and document special occasions in my blog and I look forward to more fun community events to come! 😉

Exclusive Blog : Healthy Minds.Happy Lives!❤️

                  

Mental wellness is essential for a fulfilling life. By understanding its importance and taking steps to promote mental well-being, we can create a healthier and happier society.

Everyone experience different challenges in our daily life. Mental health impact how we feel, how we think and how we behave, therefore, it is so important to maintain good mental well-being to achieve healthy living.

Highlight of the event :

I attended a community event recently that discuss about the "Journey Of Mental Wellness" The speakers shared some great tips, simple ways to control our emotions and we did some light workout that helps with relaxation.



It was a pleasure to meet Ms Felicia Chin (*Channel 8 MediaCorp Actress) in person, she is one of the guest/speaker in this event, a warm, friendly and down-to-earth lady. Personally, I love her acting skills in the local drama series. Felicia shared her personal experience on mental health and some tips to promote healthy living. We took a quick wefie after the event...

                                                             
The talk was conducted in Mandarin. It was informative, engaging and well organised by the community partners and I learned much more about mental wellness so I would like to share some information with my readers...

Here are my thoughts and personal tips to maintain healthy mental wellness (*This is not a medical advice*)


                

1Get Enough Sleep 
Rest is important for everyone. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Establish a regular sleep schedule, create a relaxing bedtime routine, and optimize your sleep environment.

2. Stress Management
Practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga etc. Engage fun activities, move your body or listen to your favourite uplifting music (*I recommend Taylor Swift songs!lol😄) to reduce stress levels.


3. Prioritize Self-Care
Take a break when you need to. Make time for activities that bring you joy and excitement, such as singing, dancing, light sports, spending time in nature, or try out new hobbies.

4. Social Connection 
Connect with others. Don't stay at home all day. Go out and have fun! Spend some quality time with family and friends, join a support/interest group, or volunteer your time. Stay active, plan your day and keep yourself occupied.


5. Healthy Diet
Avoid over-eating or starving. Have a balanced, nutritious diet and drink enough water everyday. Eating well is living well! :)


6. Build A Calm & Positive Mindset
Stay calm in every situation and try not to overthink and overreact. Pause and take a deep breath. Remember, you are not alone, every problem has a solution! :)


7. Seek Professional Help
If you're struggling with mental health, do not suffer in silence, get the right help and support. Community service/Grassroots networks & associates provide resources, support and guidance through difficult times.
