Exclusive Featured : Changi Airport T5 In The Making Exhibition

 

Singapore’s Changi Airport is the world’s top international airport, winning Skytrax's "World’s Best Airport Award" for 13 times. (*Most recently in 2025) Since 1981, it has connected over 400 global destinations via four terminals, renowned for efficiency, great service, and unique amenities like gardens and waterfalls. As a Singaporean, I’m proud to say Changi Airport stands as one of our most valuable assets and a point of immense national pride.

Moving ahead, Terminal 5 is set to open in the mid-2030s as part of the Changi East development project. Once complete, it will be one of the world's largest single-terminal facilities, significantly expanding the airport's capacity and further strengthening Singapore's position as a global aviation hub.

It was a great privilege to be one of the earlier groups to visit Terminal 5 exhibition which offered a fascinating first-hand look at what this upcoming addition to Changi Airport will be like. The showcase provided an immersive experience of the innovation planning, designs and futuristic visions behind one of Singapore’s most ambitious infrastructure projects to date.

Now boarding...

From the moment we arrived, we were each given specially designed boarding pass with our name on it that served as our entry tickets to the exhibition. This unique touch added to the excitement, making us feel like we were embarking on an early journey to the future terminal itself. The entire session took about 40mins. 

Personally, I’m into robots, gadgets, technology, and all things futuristic! I love how tech can enhance lifestyle and shape our world. This cool guy here is a translator that speaks multiple languages. Hola! Salut! Ciao! 😎

      

    

The Terminal 5 exhibition event was remarkable and meticulously organized. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all visitors. It was a truly impressive showcase! 👍

After wrapping up the Terminal 5 exhibition, we grabbed a quick lunch at the foodcourt and our group split up to explore the rest of Changi Airport on our own till our transport arrived.

   

     

           

         

Changi Airport has developed so much over the years and it's still expanding new terminals. I've been here countless times for dining, leisure and welcoming friends from overseas, but every single visit I always discover something new.😊

Well, I used to work in Terminal 2 for SIA customer service. Even after so many years later, I still feel deeply connected to this place. Every corner seems to whisper memories of days working alongside with incredible people and helping passengers navigate their destinations and arrivals. That’s why, Changi Airport holds a special place in my heart! ❤️

Our Music Journey...

Many of you know that I teach Ukulele in the community for years. Our music group, 'Ukermanics' was officially formed in 2019. 

Music has always been a passion for me since my school days. In the past, I have performed many times on stage as a singer, playing guitar/ukulele but this time, I decided to bring out the acoustic drums to add into our music performance at the recent community event...

   

A Dream Come True! :)

I enjoy playing with different instruments, but it's always been my dream to perform as a drummer. I love drums, it's a powerful and dynamic instrument. It creates a lively and impactful atmosphere that connect deeply with rhythm, emotion, and the heart of the music.

     


It's Show Time!🥁 

Music is a universal language that connects people. Music is fun and enjoyable for all ages. It doesn't matter what age you are, if you are interested to learn a new instrument, go for it and explore your potential! 😎

I would like to applaud my members for their performance as it takes a lot of courage and confidence to perform in public. I'm so proud of their hard work, efforts, good progression and we did our best to present a good show for everyone. 

We played a total of 5 songs and received positive feedback from the audience. My heart is full when I saw happy faces and warm cheers in the crowd. I'm glad the residents enjoyed the performance and it was a great honor to share my passion and contribute to this meaningful event!  

   

Every performance is a special moment for me and to perform for the residents is a privilege I treasure. I am most grateful to receive this certificate and thank you for the recognition!

Many times, we forgot to thank the people who create special memories in different chapters of our lives, so I take this opportunity to shout out to my beloved Ukermanics members and express my heartfelt appreciation :

[Highlights] Singapore Grand Prix 2025 - F1 Pit Lane Experience

                          

                  

The Singapore Grand Prix held at the Marina Bay Street Circuit is a massive event on the Formula 1 calendar. First held in 2008, it was the inaugural night race in F1 history, showcasing the motorsport under the dazzling lights of Singapore's iconic cityscape. The demanding street circuit tests the drivers' skills, endurance, and adaptability under challenging conditions. Worldwide & local fans are excited for the annual F1 motor race.

 

The F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2025 @Marina Bay Street Circuit

I've always enjoyed watching car racing. My all-time favourite F1 teams are, Red Bull and McLaren. I remember my mom used to buy for me those mini racing cars when I was little and my love for cars grew eversince... As a car enthusiast for years, I am super excited for every F1 race. It's an extreme sport that demands excellence in every area, engineering, strategy, driving skill, and mental fortitude. That's why I've always been fascinated by it!

Feeling Grateful! 🩷

 

 

This year's Singapore Grand Prix is extra special for me. I am beyond grateful to won two tickets for the Pit Lane Experience at Singapore Grand Prix 2025. Wow..this is a rare opportunity and an incredible experience for me, it was simply mind-boggling to see so many racing cars right before my eyes.

 

Though it was super crowded, the queue was long and the waiting was insane, but the nice weather (no rain) brings some comfort and it's definitely worth the wait!

Exploring The Pit Lane Garage...

 

     

 

 

    

It felt so surreal stepping into the actual race track and exploring the garage...Getting up close and personal with the race cars and witnessing the sheer precision of the mechanics was something so awesome! The roar of the engines is deafening in the best way possible, the cars, the pit stop and the skillful team work that goes into every race is a dream come true...and that is something we don't get to see often.

   

  

 

We took some pics and interacted with some F1 racers and their teammates. Awww...my heart melts, it's so great to see them in person and my hands are trembling taking the pics.lol. The F1 drivers looked so suave cycling along the pit lane and waving at the fans! 😍

  

An Unforgettable Evening...

 

      

The energy at the event was phenomenal, amplified by the fantastic entertainment, music, street dancing and stage performances. There are diy keychain making, food van and Merch booth at the F1 village. It was such a fun and enjoyable event, indeed another amazing and unforgettable evening! I'm truly thankful to be at the Singapore Grand Prix 2025 and till then...see you next year! 😉
