6️⃣ Things I Can't Live Without

Have you ever thought about what are the things that you can't live without? I thought this is a fun topic to blog about. Well, let's not talk about the basic survival things, like oxygen, food, water, shelters, clothings and money that everyone needs...Aside from those, there are some things that I definitely can't live without!

1. MY 2 SWEETHEARTS
My children are everything to me. They are my strength, my joy, my hope and my world. I am blessed and thankful to have them. They give me the reason to live and to stay strong. Sometimes they made me really mad and even broke my heart, but I will always love them to the moon and back!

2. DREAMS / GOALS
Dreams and goals are important reminders to help me stay focused, motivated and to strive better everyday. Life without a dream/goal is like a ship with no destinations.
I believe everyone has a purpose in life and to do something big. I would not want to be waking up every day, not knowing what I should do with my life and live with regrets later. No way!

3. LOVE
Love comes in many forms. Relationships, friendships, kindness, compassion, humanity and self-worth etc.. If there isn't love, the riches of life are worthless, it's hard to live a happy and fulfilling life without love. With love, all things are possible and I do believe love will keep us alive!
(Oh..did I mentioned that I'm a hopeless romantic too?😁)

4. MUSIC
I need music everyday! Yes, I've said that many times in my blogs. Music makes me feel alive, energetic and it inspired me to stay positive about my passions. It helped me get through those bad times and rough days. I remember blasting all the catchy love songs and crying my heart out after my first break-up! It felt better, isn't it? Yep! Music is a great therapy indeed. No doubt!

Music is a language that connects people too. I made a lot of friends around the world who share the same interests. I can't live without music for sure! I've been playing music since high school and I can talk about music all day! I could listen to my favorite playlists over and over again. Singing in the bathroom is my daily ritual anyway. Haha! I guess music flows through my veins.

5. MOBILE PHONES / LAPTOP
Let's face it! Our generation is so attached to the latest technology and social media. The mobile phone is a very important tool to connect people.

We use it everyday to chat, send text messages, read news, check emails, take pictures/videos & selfies and upload them on social media. Omg! I would feel so weird and lost if I don't have my phones or laptop with me and the biggest nightmare is when the battery is flat!!! I sleep with my phones every night, tell me I'm not the only one! LOL! 😂

(By the way, my laptop of 5 years broke down recently and I rushed down to the store to get a new laptop the next day. It's so good to be blogging with my new lappy and get all the job done!)

6. CHOCOLATES !!!
Oh yeah!...I know chocolates are so sinful and fattening but they are sooooo hard to resist, especially when you have sweet tooth like me or
sugar rush syndrome most days. Mmmm...Chocolate is a delicious cure for a bad day! It does make everything better and sweeter!...🥰

Anyone Can Be A Hero! 💙

So last weekend, I attended a First-Aid CPR + AED course, organized by our neighborhood community club. I have attended a similar course many years ago, but there are new information and procedures over the years, so I think it would be good to go for a refresher class.

Why do we need to know First-Aid?

An emergency crisis can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere...without any warning and if you are trained to do CPR and learn to operate the AED device...You could save a precious life, in the nick of time!

In this half-day course, we learned the important theory, useful tips, hands-on CPR, how to operate and follow the procedures from the AED device, etc..At the end of the course, we have to take a test and I passed with a score of 19/20.

I remember one *important note the Course Trainer said...

*First-Aiders
-You See
-You Know
-You Do

*Public
-You See
-You Don't Know
-Call Ambulance 995

When a person suddenly collapses right in front of you, it is normal to be frightened, panic and feel helpless. That is a normal human reaction but with proper knowledge and training, you will be able to stay calm, know what to do and get help.

Time is crucial during a crisis, the survival rate is higher if we step in to help instead of waiting...Sometimes, it may be too late by the time the paramedics and ambulance arrive, so it is important for everyone to know basic First-Aid, CPR+AED and react immediately, to save a life.

I Am A Certified CPR+AED First-Aider.

Overall, I think the half day First-Aid course is helpful and informative for the general public. Well, Sharing Is Caring! Therefore, I would share my thoughts and some information/links on my blog.

For anyone who is interested to sign up Basic First-Aid CPR + AED course or wish to be a CERT member. Check out the links below for more information.

What's Your Biggest Pet Peeve?⚠️

Let's talk about Pet Peeves.

Most people know I'm friendly, warm, fun-loving with a sense of humor. LOL! But we all have some things that annoy us and these are the things that really bugs me, big time!

My Top Pet Peeves are...

1) Lateness
OK, fashionable late is fine for some events. But sorry, I just can't stand people who are chronically late for everything! No one likes to wait. It's a terrible habit and they are always full of excuses! Well, time is precious and if you don't know what time is it? You need a watch.

2) Oversharing On Social Media / Flooding The Feeds
So you got a new car, a new house and a new sweetheart, that's awesome! The next thing you see their posts/pictures flooding everywhere and every day. Roger! we got your attention loud and clear.

3) Poor Customer Service
Customers are important. No one likes to be served with a bad attitude. Bad service brings bad reputation.(Duh!)

4) Skinny People Who Keep Saying They Are Fat
This has to be my top biggest pet peeve. Hey sweetie, people can see that you are not fat.Telling everyone that you are fat is not going to make you slim anyway. If you are truly unhappy with your body, hit the gym, change your diet or do something. Attention seekers are never cool!

5) Lying & Empty Promises
Everyone hates liars. If you have promised something, keep your words! If you can't be sure, then don't promise anything. I appreciate honesty a lot and I think honesty is the new sexy! 😘

6) Spammers
No one like to wake up to find 50 to 200 unread messages on their emails and WhatsApp...Wow! What's the commotion?

7) Shaking Legs
I wonder why some people love shaking their legs. It looks so tiring and very unpleasant, not cute at all...

8) Chewing Food & Talking At The Same Time
Pardon? Sorry? I can't hardly hear what they are saying with a mouth stuffed with food...I am more worried that they might choke on their food. Please take your time to swallow your food before you speak.

9) Cutting In Line
Try standing for hours queuing for your favorite Bak Kwa (aka BBQ Jerky) and someone suddenly cut in the queue because they are 'in a hurry'. Hey stranger, try a better excuse next time!

10) Not Picking Up Calls
Other than those unknown, suspicious callers and scam calls, etc.. (Ignore those calls) There must be a reason someone calls you. Please pick up the phone because it could be something urgent and important...Then why carry a phone when you don't intend to answer them?

11) Standing In The Middle Of The Crowd Or Walkway
Don't you just hate it when someone stands right in the middle of a shopping crowd or the walkway, blocking the way and talking on their phone, moving so slowly as though no one exists? Very inconsiderate!

12) PDA (Public Display of Affection)
I'm totally cool with PDA and love expressions. (Awww...) I think it's kinda sweet but if the couple is overdoing it...Ok Lovebirds! Please get a room...and if you are in school uniforms, I'll be worried for you, kid!

13) Posting/Tagging Photos Without Your Consent
This is just rude! I respect privacy. Well, not everyone like sharing their personal photos to the world and why do they always have to tag those unglamorous photos? Oh geez!...

14) Channel Surfing
It is so annoying when someone starts switching channels every few minutes when I'm watching a show. Please stop, my eyes hurt!

15) Bullies
Bullying is wrong and I have a low tolerance for any form of bullying...Be kind always, Peace! ✌

...So that's about all but don't worry, I'm still a nice person overall.😙 Hey, let me know what are your pet peeves? Comment below or write to me. Till then, stick around lovelies! 😎
