10 Things Not To Post On Social Media⚠️

Social media is a virtual community network that provides great source of information, latest news, trends, entertainments and more...It is a resourceful marketing tool to promote businesses/brands, awareness and connect the world! However, it can be a dangerous place when the contents you share may lead to some nasty situations.

Bloggers like myself, content creators, influencers and online business owners are active on social media, our contents are shared publicly for better engagement and exposure to our audience, that's the nature of the industry. Hence, it can be quite challenging if you are unsure what contents are safe and what might cause red flag.🚩

My 3 golden rules are, be mindful, respectful and tactful.

Here are my personal tips and advice on 10 Things Not To Post On Social Media.
(*This is solely my personal thoughts and opinions.*)

1. Personal Data
I'm sure most people will not share their personal information but at times, you may overlook the finest details on some pictures that may reveal your home address, ID, car plate and mobile numbers, these information can fall into wrong hands, so remember to check carefully before you post anything online.

2. Family/Children Pictures
Call me a protective mom, (I admit I am, lol!😄) Ah yes..I'm kinda' discreet and I value privacy. For me, I do not share my family/children photos on my social media publicly for safety reasons. I love my 2 sweethearts and take lots of lovely photos/videos with them, but I prefer to share my private collections with family/relatives, closest friends and selective group chats in a private setting. Anyway, you don't need to share everything about your life and you don't have to post it to prove it! It's perfectly fine to stay low key if you wish. You never know who is spying, checking your profiles and saving your photos.

3. Sensitive Topics
Personally, I would avoid posting/blogging anything related to Religions, Races and Politicians on social media. These topics are highly sensitive that may trigger unnecessary tensions and provoking debates, so it's wise to stay away at all costs and don't get yourself into trouble! (Nuffsaid!)

4. Adults Contents (18+)
Every social media channels forbid nudity, violence and obscene contents. Indecent posts will be removed, flagged and banned for violating the community guidelines. Avoid sharing such contents that may go viral and could expose to minors.

5. Hateful & Offensive Comments
Everyone has different ideas, perspectives and beliefs. I think it's important to respect everyone equally. Perhaps you might think it's just a joke or a harmless remark, but be mindful that not everyone feel the same.

Acknowledge everyone's emotions and treat people the way you like to be treated! We can always agree to disagree or settle the disputes in private but NEVER condone to cyber-bulling, trolling and keyboard warriors. No One Is Perfect! There is nothing cool about bullying, shaming, defamation and being passive aggressive. No one ever look good, making someone look bad!

6. Fake News
Everyone makes mistakes. I'm sure many of us are eager to share the latest news with our family and friends but before you hit the send/forward button, make sure the information are updated from reliable sources before you share it on public platforms. You don't want to cause false alarm and anxiety.

7. Personal Stories/Events
Do NOT share your break-up stories, family problems, relationships, financial or work issues etc. I hate to say this hunny...but the truth is, very few people actually care, some are just curious and the vast majority can't be bothered! Instead of seeking comfort and support, some may be judging, mocking and gossiping about you. Don't invite negativity and protect your energy!

Some things are best to stay private, behind closed doors. Do NOT Overshare! Your problems need real solutions NOT attention! Talk to a trusted friend instead and refrain from sharing too much personal narratives on social media. A private life is a happy life! 🙂

8. Sharing Without Consent
Some documents are strictly private and confidential regardless corporates or individual, it could be personal emails, invoices, legal contracts and proposals that should never be shared with a third party or anyone. In my opinion, this is basic courtesy and integrity. Even if you are not in contact with the person/company/organisations anymore, the documents should still remain Private & Confidential. If you like a private article or specific photos, request for permission to repost on your page/website. Be professional and respectful.

9. Spamming Links
Spams are annoying and hard-selling strategies can be quite turn-off for many. It may project desperation and a poor image. Don't keep tagging popular, big accounts to promote your business unless they are aware and there is a mutual agreement/collaboration to support your product campaigns and business ventures.

10. Moderate Postings
Limit selfies, lavishing lifestyle photos and don't over post your achievements. Some people might feel envious or intimidated... Unfortunately, not everyone will clap for your success! In my personal experience, your daily online activities may unintentionally 'attract' stalkers, haters and flooded DMs.(Always!) It is common for bigger accounts to get hacked, compromised or become victims of phishing. Network does breakdown and internet security systems can fail too. Be Warned!

Don't be overly stressed about getting likes, followers, fame and popularity. I totally understand being competitive but Remember, your REAL Social Life is more important than your Social Media.

Bonus Tips :
Keep your posts fun, positive, interesting and entertaining. Have some self-discipline on the contents you post and set the amount of time you spend online.

Social media addiction can affect greatly on mental health, self-esteem and daily routines. Remember to take a short break and detach from social media if you need to. Don't forget to enjoy some me-time, self-care and spend quality time with your family. Never let social media steal your time or take over your life!

Occasionally, you can do some social media detox, to keep a safe and healthy network.

Whatever you wish to post on social media, make sure you feel good and comfortable sharing the contents. Be authentic & creative!👍

Share constructive, useful contents to inspire, motivate and encourage others. The world has enough crisis and critics, we need more compassion, peace and justice! Be kind to one another..."Spread Love, NOT Hate!"

Social media is an essential technology in our modern lifestyle, it's wonderful to get information the fastest way and stay connected with friends & family around the world but keep it safe always.

Peace & love! 😎✌

10 Things What Women Really Want🌹

"A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets..."
Remember this famous quote from the movie, Titanic? (I've watched it for at least 5times.lol)

So the notion of the quote may be true...but getting to know women is not as hard as you think, but it is indeed important to understand what women really want instead of guessing what's on her mind, that can save you a lot of rejections, heartaches, cold wars and unhappy relationships.

Men often think women are hard to please, without a clue what's going on...How many times we heard the guys complaining to their buddies, "I don't know what's wrong with my girlfriend?", "I don't know what my wife wants from me?"

Okay dudes! It's pretty simple. Your partner wants time, she wants your attention and she wants you! 😉

We understand men are not mind readers and no one have time for mind games anyway, we get it!  However, we can't always tell men what to do and what we want from them, after all, being demanding and controlling can causes red flags too.

But there are ways to tell what a woman wants, from her body language, her gestures, eye contacts and the tone of her voice. If you take some efforts to understand women better, you'll soon unlock the 'secrets' and even enhance the relationship.

Whether you are married, in a relationship or just started dating, here are some information and tips to help you understand what women really wants. (Dear men/husbands, please take some time to read this.😁)

1. Communication
Proper communication is the key ingredient in every long-lasting, healthy relationship. Talk often, share your dreams and goals. Listen without judging and don't interrupt even when you don't agree with her views and beliefs. The objective of good communication is not to debate or to create a fight, but an interaction to listen and understand your partner better.

2. Respect
No relationship can survive without respect. Respect comes in many forms. Always treat a woman right! No one likes to be disrespected and mistreated in an abusive relationship. If you treat her like a Queen, she will treat you like a King! 👑

3. Saying (I Love You)
It doesn't matter how long you've been married or how long you have been together. The 3 magic words never gets old. I know some guys are too shy to express themselves and feel mushy to say those words out loud, but you can look into her eyes and whisper in her ears. Your partner love hearing those words but make sure you say it sincerely from your heart.

4. Be True and Faithful
No woman wants a player or a heart-breaker! It's never cool to toy with feelings, if you can't commit in a serious relationship and be true to her, you need to back off and let her go.

5. Affection (Hugs, cuddles & kisses)
Women wants quality couple time, just the two of you. In my opinion, there is no such thing as too much cuddles and kisses in a relationship. Physical intimacy is a couple bond, a connection with your partner and affection strengthens relationship. Give her the attention she needs. Everyone loves to feel needed and wanted.

6. Understanding and Supportive
We all have bad days or feeling under the weather sometimes. Give her some space, offer some comforts and listening ears instead of blaming her for being moody. Show her that you love and care for her. Women want men to be there for her and to work things out together. Relationship is a teamwork and it takes two to tango.

7. Protection and Sense of Security
Every woman loves a man who protects her and keep her safe, knowing that you will always have her back makes her feel loved, valued and cherished.

8. Holding Hands
I can't speak for all the women on this one but I personally love holding hands, it makes me feel warm and comforting. Awww...how lovey-dovey when I see couples holding hands on the street or at the beach...Take my hand, honey! 👫

9. Surprises
Guys, we don't need diamonds, flowers, expensive gifts or fancy dinners to make us happy. Sweet surprises can be anything like buying a snack/dessert that she is craving for, a cute plushie that she like or breakfast in bed etc...it's the effort and sincerity that matters!

10. Compliments and Praises
Do you remember when is the last time you praise your partner? The fact is, you don't need to be a sweet talker and find the perfect words to say something nice. If your partner look gorgeous in that dress, cooks a nice meal or does something extra special for you. Thank her and let her know you appreciate it. Who doesn't love some compliments, right? Never take anything and anyone for granted!

There you go! I hope this information help but I'm sure there are more to add to the list. I am not a dating/relationship expert here, but I believe these are the top list that what women want from their partner in a serious and committed relationship.

So ladies, what do you think? Share with me and comment below if I miss out anything and share this blog with your friends if you love the tips.😎

Health Precautions For Covid-19 ⚠️

As we watch the daily news updates, it is depressing when the number of Coronavirus cases are increasing dramatically... and what makes it more emotional is when it hit during the Chinese New Year holiday where Chinese around the world will be traveling to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

The healthcare authority has issued travel bans, flights are suspended and health screenings/inspections are conducted at the airports/checkpoints for entries to Singapore.

Pharmacies islandwide run out of face masks, thermometers and hand sanitizers, etc. Everyone is hunting for masks and grabbing disinfectant products they can find on the shelves. High demand products, especially the surgical masks are crazily overpriced in the black markets. (This is so wrong and should NOT be encouraged! )

While it's human nature to worry and panic about the deadly virus, but we should also try to remain calm. There are some precautionary measures that we can do to fight the coronavirus to protect ourselves and our love ones.

Here are the list of things that I do to protect my family :

DISCLAIMER NOTICE *
(All information provided in this blog is my personal precautions and for general reference only. No medical advice intended.)

1. Wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds. Always remember to wash your hands before and after meals.

Here's a video that demonstrates the steps to wash our hands and how to wear the mask the correct way.

2. Boost up Vitamin C. Drink lots of water, soup and juices. Add fruits in your diets. (Fruits are good source of Vitamin C that helps to prevent cold and infections, etc.)

3. Wear a mask if you have a cough, runny nose or a fever. See a doctor if you are unwell and rest at home.

4. Always carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer and antiseptic wipes. They are very useful and handy. (Alcohol-based hand rub/sanitizers are recommended by healthcare organisations.)

5. Avoid crowded places. Germs and viruses are airborne and easily spread from human to human. Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms.

6. I use air-purifiers and humidifiers at home, they help to improve air quality, perhaps it may not eliminate the viruses but it helps me sleep better anyway.

7. Make sure meat, seafood and eggs are well-cooked. We know that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) was first spread from animal to human and then transmitted from human to human. It's best to avoid taking any kind of raw food for now.

8. Parents with small children, please make sure their nails are trimmed often and teach the children how to wash their hands properly. Do NOT share utensils, water bottles or towels, etc.

9. Check your temperature regularly if you start to feel unwell. Seek medical assistance and treatment as soon as possible.

10. Take a bath/shower immediately when you return from school, work, grocery shopping, etc...or at least wash your hands, legs and face thoroughly with soap. This is a standard routine for me since the (SARS) Outbreak in 2003. In my opinion, there's no such thing as being 'too clean', we should always practice good hygiene every day.

There is currently no vaccines or antiviral medication for the COVID-19 virus, symptoms can only be treated. What we can do is boost our immune system, promote good hygiene routines and avoid getting sick/infected.

Please wear a mask if you are unwell. The local health authority has handed out masks to every household in Singapore. I'm not a big fan of face mask and I know it's uncomfortable and hard to breathe freely with a mask on, but if you are unwell, it is important to protect yourself and everyone around you, especially during health crisis like this. I wear a mask when I pick up my kids from school, it's not a big deal for me to use a mask for personal hygiene and safety precautions.

However, I don't encourage people to stock up tons of face masks, sanitizers and disinfectant products, it is fine to keep some for emergency use/purposes but Do NOT buy much more than you need!

I don't stock up face masks. In fact, I prefer filtered cloth flu mask because it's more comfortable, reusable and Eco-friendly. (But that's just my preference)

The healthcare authority recommended using 3ply surgical masks for protection against the Coronavirus but with the high demands and low stock in the market now, the cloth masks may be an alternative and substitute for the time being. Well, though it may not serve the maximum protection, but I think it's still better than none.

There could possibly be some misinformation circulating in the internet. We can ignore those 'unclear' information but please don't be ignorant. We should do our part to stay vigilant, read up the latest updates from reliable source and equipped yourself with more knowledge. It's always better to stay alert, be prepared and always practice good hygiene anywhere you are.

While it may seem like Singaporeans are the 'Kiasu' population, (Yea..maybe that's true) but when it comes to global health threats, I take precautions seriously and I believe it's better to be safe than sorry!

The COVID-19 virus may last for months and during this stressful time, my heart and prayers goes out to those who are infected by the virus and families who are separated or quarantined during this global health crisis.

I hope the situation will be under control soon. The outbreak has caused so many inconvenience, tensions and anxiety globally. I hope our lives would be back to normal again, very soon...

Till then...Take good care and stay safe, Homies! 💪😷

12 Signs That A Man Loves You 💘

Do you sometimes wonder?... Is the guy that you are dating really loves you? You could try plucking petals to get an answer,(lol) but the best way to know is to observe.

Well, I am not an expert in giving relationship/dating advice but based on my personal experience and observations, there are obvious signs that a guy is deeply in love with you.

Most men aren't good at expressing their romantic feelings to their partner, however, actions and behaviors can tell how much they love you. Don't just fall for sweet talks, lovebirds! Words are only plain texts unless they are proven! After all, actions speak louder than words. Remember...Love is not what you say, love is what you do! 😘

So here are some undeniable signs that a guy is really into you...💕

1) He wants you to be happy.
He cares about your happiness and emotions. When you are sad, he tries different ways to cheer you up, to make you smile again.

2) He is always there for you.
Anytime you need him, he gets to you the fastest he can, to be your support, a listener, he offer comfort and a shoulder to lean on.

3) He cooks for you.
Nothing is sweeter than a man who cooks for his love. Even a simple sandwich or a bowl of soup can taste the sweetest! I love a man who cooks! Hey, who doesn't like to be fed with love? 😁

4) He tries to please you.

Whether he is learning a new language or singing your favorite love songs just to make you happy. That really shows how special you are to him, because "You Are The Reason"🎶

5) He thinks about you all the time.
You are always on his mind and he misses you every day.  He wants to talk to you and listen to your voice. He asks about your day, reminds you to eat your meals. He sends you sweet love notes and cute texts the first thing in the morning when he wakes up.

6) He takes good care of you.
When you are unwell, he accompanies you to the clinic, he checks on you every few hours, making sure that you will take the medication on time and have enough rest, etc...

7) He compliments you.
He praises and celebrates your success and achievements. He compliments about your personality, your strength and natural beauty. Even when you don't wear any make-up, he still finds you beautiful, attractive and he love the way you are! He makes you feel good and confident about yourself.

8) He makes you a priority.
I believe when someone truly cares for you, they will find time! Even if it's only a few hours to be together for a dinner or a stroll at the beach, he is happy to spend time with you.

9) He doesn't give up the relationship easily.
It is common to have disagreements and arguments in any relationship. If a guy truly loves you, he will find solutions to fix the problems and work things out together to keep the relationship going.

10) He is happy and excited to see you.
He keeps smiling  every time when he meets you, he looks into your eyes and gives you full attention. He keep you close, he love holding your hands, making you feel warm and comfortable.

11) He protects you.
This is the most obvious sign when a man loves you, he is willing to be your shield in any danger. Like a knight in shining armor, he won't let anyone hurt you. He will do his best to make you feel secure and keep you safe always.

12) He shares his dreams, tells his family and friends about you.
When a guy introduces you to his family, it is a sign that he is serious about you and he wants you to be part of the family. He wants you to be in his life and to build a future together.

Falling in love is easy but staying in love requires a lot of hard work and patience because relationships can be confusing and tricky at times...

People say love is blind (they are probably right!) Nonetheless, I do believe true love exists and if you ever find a man who does most of the things listed here, don't lose that gem! He's definitely a keeper!👍

"Happiness is to love and be loved..."

7 Things I Must Have In My Bag 👜

I believe a woman's bag tells a lot about her personality and style.

You have read my earlier blog about my Mummy/Diaper bag but on regular days, there are 7 essential things that I always have in my bag. I wouldn't feel secure to step out of the house if I don't have these items.

7 Things I Must Have In My Bag :

1) Lip Balm / Lip Gloss
I love natural pink rosy lips and somedays when I don't feel like putting on makeup, I just apply lip gloss or lip balm. Carmex is my favorite and I have been using it for years. When I was in Australia, I had chapped lips occasionally due to the different climate. This lip balm works great and moisturizes the lips with a cooling effect. Too bad I can't find them here in Singapore. I got them from Lazada.

2) Pocket Safety Alarm
Singapore is a pretty safe country, but Low Crime Doesn't Mean No Crime! It's better to be safe than sorry. It's always good to stay vigilant and carry something to protect yourself, especially if you are always home late. I got this pocket alarm from Daiso, it's a cute baseball keychain and it has a really loud beep when you pull out the pin. (I hope I never have to use this!)

3) Contact Lens

I have bad eyesight since school days. The optician recommended that I wear my glasses every day, (no way!) it's just so uncomfortable and I look so nerdy with glasses! 🤓 Anyway, I only wear them when I read, drive or attend seminars but since I started using contacts recently, I love it!!! I can see everything super clear now, even from a far distance...Wow! I felt like my eyes are reborn!

4) Medicated Oil
I rarely use it. A small bottle can last me for years, lol. Once I was traveling with a friend on a train and she felt dizzy, I gave her this medicated oil and she felt much better after using it...
Well, you'll never know when a headache might strike or some tummy discomfort after a meal, etc. Who knows someone might just need this, so I always carry one in case of emergencies.

5) Wet Wipes / Tissues
Wet tissues are so useful, especially when you are eating fried chicken or peeling prawns and you just can't find any washroom nearby. I bring them everytime, everywhere!

6) Earphones
Music is part of my life. I listen to music every day to relax and recharge. Good music makes me feel happy and energetic! I love some soulful and hip hop music on a long bus ride.

7) Fresh Mints
I have a weird habit of chewing candies randomly. These cooling mints are sugarfree and keep the breath fresh all day.

...I'm always curious about what other women have in their bags so let me have a peek, ladies! Lol. Share with me what are the things you MUST have in your purse. Send me your comments! 😘
